Flora Bulcão is a performance artist, teacher and researcher.

​

Graduated in Visual Arts at UERJ (State University of Rio de Janeiro) and master's student in Dance at PPGDAN-UFRJ (Post-graduation program from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro). Performer in the Medeias  Colective 2018, under the direction of Denise Espírito Santo. Performed with Cia. Da Ideia (directed by Sueli Guerra) for three years, with Contadores de Estórias Group (Paraty) and the  show Themselves, by Jean-Jacques Sanchez (BR / FR).

 

Flora choreographed a scene in the film “A vida Invisível”, by Karim Aïnouz, in addition to two seasons of the novel and the film Gaby Estrella (Gloob channel).

 

As an actress, she attended the Martins Pena Theater School, the Atelier für Physisches Theater (Germany) and starred in the film “O Ornitólogo”, by João Pedro Rodrigues (PT).

Performer and Director of the solo-performance "Algo tão doce", presented at Festival Panorama and several cultural spaces in Rio de Janeiro, she also performed in other works such as "Palestra" and "Ausente", which she also directed, and "Engrenagens", a clip for the music of Eduardo Seabra.
